MOVE OVER TAYLOR HICKS!
-Hundreds Expected to Camp Out at Westfarms for a Chance to be the Next Connecticut Idol-
WHAT: This Saturday, hundreds will flock to Westfarms mall for the chance to be crowned the next Connecticut Idol. Singers 16-28 from around the state are expected to get in line as early as the day before to be at the front of the line. A total of 200, including the first 140 in line and 60 who pre-qualified throughout the month of August, will have the chance to sing in front of the judges.
This year's judging panel includes celebrity judge, Cassie, representatives from RCA-J-Arista and HOT 93.7's DJ Buck and Nancy Barrow.
The Connecticut Idol Winner will be guaranteed an audition with the producers of American Idol in Seattle, including travel. He or she will also receive a $500 GO! shopping spree at Westfarms, a $1,000 gift certificate from California Closets and a special gift package from Rit Dye.
