WESTFARMS TO OPEN CONNECTICUT’S FIRST BRIO TUSCAN GRILLE Award-Winning Tuscan Grille Slated to Open this Winter

FARMINGTON, CONN., June 17, 2008 - This winter, Westfarms will welcome the award-winning BRIO Tuscan Grille. The 8,500-square-foot restaurant, scheduled to open in late January 2009, is BRIO's first Connecticut location.

BRIO is a premiere restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian cuisine, including premium quality steaks, chops, seafood, made-to-order pasta and flatbreads prepared in an authentic Italian wood-burning oven. The casual setting is a Tuscan villa atmosphere complete with arched colonnades, hand-crafted mosaics, Venetian plaster walls and marble countertops, where guests will be able to enjoy seasonal outdoor dining, private dining rooms and a weekend brunch.

BRIO is part of Columbus-based Bravo Development Inc. (BDI). Founded in 1992, BDI currently operates 70 restaurants, including BRAVO! Cucina Italiana, BRIO Tuscan Grille and Bon Vie Bistro. For more information, visit www.BrioItalian.com.

BRIO will be located to the right of the shopping center's northeast entrance, currently under renovation and scheduled to debut this winter, along with P.F. Chang's China Bistro. Here, guests will enjoy plentiful seating and landscaping accents before passing beneath a dramatic elevated arch of glass and stone that ushers them into the shopping center.

These new dining additions dovetail the debut of renowned jeweler Tiffany & Co. in May, as well as Jessica McClintock, Victoria's Secret PINK, Gilly Hicks, Metropark, Clarks, Bare Escentuals and AT&T earlier this year. Also opening in 2008 will be H&M and Bakers, as well as several more yet-to-be-announced retailers.

"With the opening of two new destination restaurants in 2008, along with the addition of several more sought-after retailers, Westfarms is pleased to continue our commitment to our shoppers by striving to offer the best shopping experience in the area," says Kevin Keenan, Westfarms' general manager.

Westfarms, located off Exit 40 on I-84 and Exit 30 on Route 9, features more than 160 stores and restaurants along with Nordstrom, Macy's, Macy's Men's Store and Furniture Gallery, Lord & Taylor and JCPenney. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. See what's on sale before you shop at www.shopwestfarms.com.
