West Hartford, CT. – The LEGO Group, one of the world’s best-known toy manufacturers, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of a new LEGO® store on June 13th -15th at Westfarms, Connecticut’s premiere shopping center in West Harford, CT.   The store features a kid-chic design, innovative displays and consumer-friendly play areas that deliver an engaging, entertaining and fun experience for families of all ages.

FARMINGTON, Conn., February 20, 2014 – Marketing executive Sarah Williams has been named marketing & sponsorship director for Westfarms, the region’s premier shopping destination.  Effective immediately, Williams will be responsible for developing programs and events, community relations and all marketing and sponsorship activities for the center. 

 

Williams brings more than 20 years’ experience in strategic marketing, management, sponsorship and promotions to the position. She began her career at two other Taubman-owned properties, serving as marketing director for Stamford Town Center in Stamford, Conn. and Cherry Creek Shopping Center in Denver, Colo., before spending 14 years with General Growth Properties headquartered in Chicago. Here she was regional marketing manager for the West Coast before assuming the roles of vice president of marketing for the company’s original retail portfolio and, subsequently, field development and new business. 

 

In 2010, Williams became vice president of marketing for the Midwest division of Jones Lang LaSalle in Chicago. Most recently, she has co-owned SWS Consulting in Chicago, specializing in retail, real estate and business planning.

 

Williams is a Senior Certified Marketing Director with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and an adjunct professor in domestic and international strategic marketing, business development and revenue generation with ICSC. She holds a BA in marketing and communications from Ohio Wesleyan University.
